Next Steps for Transient / Non-Degree Seeking Students
Welcome to the #RamFam!
Complete the following steps to make your transition into the Ram Family as seamless as possible.
-
Set up Your Technology Access Account
After you apply for admission, you will receive an email at the address provided on your application. This email contains the information needed to set up your ASU User Account. If you ever need assistance in regards to technology on campus, please contact the IT Service Center at 325-942-2911 or visit our resource page.
Once you set up your account, you will gain access to RamPort, our internal web portal. Through RamPort, you will have access to content, tools and services most relevant to you.
-
Submit Proof of Your Meningitis Vaccination
State law requires all incoming students (unless you are taking classes exclusively online) who don’t meet exemption to show proof of receiving a bacterial meningitis vaccination. You must have received the vaccine within five years of the first day of classes. The latest possible date to receive the vaccine is 10 days prior to the start of the semester. You can upload the record of your bacterial meningitis vaccination or email it to meningitis@gaemotion.com.
-
Register for Classes
You will register for your classes through RamPort. Visit the Academic Calendar for your registration date. You will register with all new students. You are encouraged to register as soon as registration opens, as courses will fill up quickly.
If you are attempting to register for a class and you are receiving an error that you do not qualify for the course, please contact admissions@gaemotion.com with the following information:
- Your Name
- Your CID (Campus ID Number)
- The course you wish to take (Course Subject, Number, and section)
- Proof you have met the prerequisites for that course
We’ll contact the department of the course for which you’re attempting to register to request special permission for you to enroll.
-
Get Your ASU OneCard and Parking Permit
The ASU OneCard is your official student ID. You’ll need it to use your meal plan, access your residence hall, and participate in various student events and activities. If you plan to bring a vehicle to campus, you’ll need to purchase a parking permit.
-
Pay Your Bill
Payment is due before the semester begins and can be paid via cash, check, money order or credit card. Save time and avoid long lines by paying your bill online through RamPort.
-
Download the ASU Mobile App
ASU Mobile is your one-stop shop for all things ASU. You can add/drop classes, view and pay your bill, access your email, find your way around campus, and so much more!
